KUMBATIA DUNIA – EMBRACE THE WORLD
Kumbatia Dunia – Embrace the World an immersive and collaborative installation dance performance by Cameroonian artist Zora Snake and Tanzanian artists Tadhi Alawi and Samwel Japhet.
CREATION 2025, 45 MINUTES
The performance unfolded in a utopian and real “living space”, immersing audiences in an imaginary duality between the present and an imagined future, representing both the physical and spiritual dimensions of our humanity. The artists brought together their unique perspectives and artistic expressions into an evolving space where artistic boundaries dissolved, and the audience became part of a dynamic dialogue on what unites and divides us as human beings in today’s world.
Kumbatia Dunia is an act of resistance in the face of South-South cooperation challenges through the exploration of borders (artistic, geographical, physical and imaginary). With the aim of linking artistic creations as urgency to the needs of our world in full retreat, in the midst of war, the dialogue consists of opening up to questions that preoccupy us: borders, the fragmented space of life, especially in the context of global conflicts.
